What’s Eligible for Return

We strive to ensure you and your furry friends are happy with our products. However, we understand that sometimes things don't work out. The following items are eligible for return:

  • All standard, non-custom products in their original condition and packaging.

  • Products that have not been used, worn, or altered.

  • Products with original tags still attached.

Non-Returnable Items:

  • Custom or personalized items.

  • Perishable goods.

  • Items marked as "Final Sale."

Acceptable Return Condition

Returned items must be in new, unused condition with all original tags and packaging intact. Items that are damaged, soiled, or altered will not be accepted.

How to Make a Return

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

1. Contact Us: Email us at barleytails@gmail.com with your order number and reason for return.

2. Authorization: Wait for a return authorization from our team.

3. Return Shipment: Ship the item back to us at the address provided in the return authorization email and include a copy of your invoice. Please ensure the package is securely packed to prevent any damage during transit. If an item doesn't fit your pet after trying it on, please make sure all pet fur is removed before returning it. All items must be returned in a resellable condition

Return Shipping Costs

We do not cover return shipping costs. Customers are responsible for return shipping fees unless the item received was incorrect or defective.

Prepaid Labels: We do not currently provide prepaid return labels. However, you may request a shipping label from us, and the cost will be deducted from your refund.

For your protection, please use a tracked courier service for all returns. We cannot issue refunds for items that are lost during return transit.

Other Return Fees

While we aim to offer hassle-free returns, a small restocking fee of 10% of the purchase price may be charged to cover the cost of processing returns.

Return Deadlines

Returns must be initiated within 30 days of the purchase date. Items returned beyond this period will not be eligible for a refund or exchange.

Refund Policy

We offer a full refund for eligible returned products. Refunds will be processed to the original method of payment within 7-10 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item.

For items returned after the 30-day window but within 60 days, we offer store credit only.

Refund Processing Time

Refunds are typically processed within 7-10 business days after we receive and inspect your returned item. Please note that it may take additional time for the refund to appear on your bank statement, depending on your financial institution.

Exchange Policy

If you wish to exchange an item, please follow the return process above and place a new order for the desired item. This ensures you receive the correct product as quickly as possible. Exchanges are subject to product availability.

Faulty Products

In accordance with New Zealand Consumer Law, if a product is faulty, you have the right to a repair, replacement, or refund.

  • Minor Fault: We will choose to either repair, replace, or refund the item.

  • Major Fault: You have the choice of a replacement or refund.

Change of Mind

Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for change of mind. However, in the interest of good customer service, we may offer an exchange or store credit for unused, non-custom items within the 30-day return window.
